Distribution: Cosmopolitan
Ecology: Both the larvae and th adult beetles feed on (usually dry) animal and
plant remains and fruits (especially cereals) as well as textiles, wool and
dead, dried-up insects;
occur mainly in old houses
Location: Germany, Bavaria, Upper Franconia, Kulmbach, Mangersreuth, in the
house
